Alpine Systems : Air Cadets and Alpine Systems
Air Cadets take delivery of three new Alpine Systems
Yesterday, 24th January 2008 Clive and I made the long journey up to RAF Linton-on-Ouse near York to oversee the installation of three Alpine Computer systems to be used by the Air Training Cadets stationed there.

The main cockpit section of the sim was designed and built by Bill from Copycat controls ... peripherals and software supplied and installed by Bob Sidwick of RC Simulations in Bristol.
As you can see in the pictures .. the overall look of the simulator really did look impressive and running on our powerful system it flew like a dream.
The system was the first of 12 such systems which will be installed at
Air Cadet Regional Training Centres throughout the whole of the UK.
Eventually the systems will be networked together in order for the
cadets to fly in a full multiplay session whether it be in combat or a
more sedate flying situation.
