Alpine Systems : PC PILOT REVIEWS ALPINE SYSTEM
The latest edition of PC Pilot puts our EGGD system through it's paces!
I am sure by now most of you have had a chance to look through your latest edition of PC Pilot (Winter Edition) and noticed that we have had one of our systems reviewed.
You will see that we were up against some very powerful competition but it was our intention all along to submit our extremely trusty EGGD mid-range system.
A few people asked us why we didn't just send up our EGLL system but the reason behind our thinking is that FSX doesn't yet take full advantage of Quad core technology.
Right from the birth of FSX we have noticed that the simulation really does feel more at home running on a dual core CPU which was the reasoning behind submitting the EGGD system for review.
The results ... well we are extremely happy to report that we acheived a whopping 80% mark only narrowly being pipped on the post by a mere 5%.
What's more pleasing to us is that because we hit the 80% mark we have been awarded the most prestigious 'Classic PC Pilot' emblem which we can now proudly display on our website and future advertisements.
Looking at the graph set out below,we have displayed a price/result comparison on the various computers submitted for review.
Quite clearly you can see that you do not need to be spending a fortune to get FSX performing the way it is supposed to fly!
(Phew!!)
So ... if you are thinking of budgeting around the £2500.00 mark and plumped for our EGGD machine you could easily include three brand new screens and a Matrox TripleHead2Go AND possibly have enough over to take the wife out for a meal!!
Now that really would score some browny points wouldn't it!!
